Effective Midnight 12/31, my Divorce with be Final!

Time to let go of the past!

I am divorcing my past, divorcing my pain, divorcing my doubt, divorcing my setbacks, and divorcing my lack.

I have full custody of my destiny, full custody of my calling, full custody of my life, love and peace.

I am now engaged to my bright future!

Now, I can’t take full credit for writing that, I saw it on social media post and re-worded it a bit to suit me. I thought is was a beautiful way of expressing how we can let go and create whatever it is we desire in life.

The end of the year is here ... it's a perfect time to reflect on all of 2018; what went well and not so well. I have adopted a new mind set over the years, that everything goes well. Bare with me for a minute. I believe that everything happens for a reason and for my highest good. This means even the times that do not feel in the moment like they are working out, I always trust that it’s for my highest good. Eventually, I always see something bigger and better come from it. I give thanks for the lessons those more seemingly difficult times.

My friend asked me to take an inventory of my life in 2018. She asked, “what didn’t go well?” My immediate thought was nothing, EVERYTHING went right!

Now, mind you, I lost had my lost my full-time job in January. This job provided me the financial stability and security. I am not going to lie, it took me a little bit to recover from that as I have never been fired before in my life.  I reached into my spiritual tool box, let go and just trusted. I quickly came to realize that the job I had once had was holding me back in my life in so many ways. I had to let go of that job, so I could open the possibilities of new and wonderful things and work on fulfilling my purpose. Loosing that job turned out to be the best thing for me!

Life will give us what feels like setbacks, but we have a choice. YES, we get to chose how we feel and react to them. This change in mind-set has taken me many years of little steps every year to get to. Keep working on it, don’t ever stop stepping no matter what.

Start with one thing … stop complaining. Start having an awareness when you are complaining and start shifting your perspective. Start looking at things as they usually are … small things. And well, if it’s a big thing, start looking at this is providing you a much-needed lesson to prepare you for something else.

It’s time to let go off the past, distance yourself from people who do not life you higher or bring joy to your life! It’s time to live for you, my friend.

Things to quit in 2019:

  1. Trying to please everyone

  2. Fearing change

  3. Living in the past

  4. Overthinking

  5. Being afraid to be different

  6. Sacrificing your happiness for others

  7. Thinking you are not good enough

  8. Thinking you have no purpose
